Rotterdam in the spotlights

Rotterdam is hot. We at Frame have thought so for a long time, and the rest of the world is slowly but surely coming to appreciate our beautiful harbour city. Rotterdam keeps popping up in (inter)national news items.

For example, the world’s largest and most influential publisher of travel guides, Lonely Planet, made the first move by awarding Rotterdam the fifth spot in their top 10 of top cities in the world, Best in Travel 2016. Rotterdam was the only Dutch city on the list. British magazine Business Insider also compiled an interesting list of the 19 happiest cities in Europe in 2016. Rotterdam came in 12th, ranking higher than any other Dutch city. Happy people, those residents of Rotterdam!

Moreover, Rotterdam attracted more companies and tourists than ever before last year and US broadcast company CNN suggested that Rotterdam might be the ‘new capital of cool’ earlier this year. In its article CNN provided 13 reasons why Rotterdam might just be the coolest city in Europe right now. Some of the aspects named include the architecture, the art offering, the nightlife, and the Katendrecht transformation. Moreover, the fact that Rotterdam has a full-blown ‘Cool District’ warranted great praise.

The rich & famous also admire our beautiful city on the Maas river. On his Instagram and Twitter accounts, movie star Leonardo DiCaprio praised the way in which Rotterdam has been handling climate change, in response to an article by The New York Times.

Long story short, Rotterdam is booming. So why not purchase a luxury property in this beautiful, hot & happening city? If you are interested, please go here.
